Brazil took the title

The host of the World Cup of Futsal beat Uruguay 6-2 and clinched the Copa America, televised on JumpTV. Argentina beat Paraguay 3-2 to secure the third place.

Once again Brazil showed why they are the best in this sport and were crowned champions of the Copa America of Futsal, following a 6-2 win over hosts Uruguay.

Marquinhos, Falcao and Wilde scored in the first half for the Verdeamarelha, while D’Alessandro netted for Uruguay. Already in the second half, Schumacher, twice, and Lenisio widen the lead for Brazil. Uruguay’s Martin Hernandez sealed the score.

In the other clash of the day, Argentina defeated Paraguay 3-2 to clinch the third place of the tournament.

These four sides had already qualified for the World Cup, staged in Rio de Janeiro this year.

Colombia hammered Ecuador 6-1 and finished fifth. Peru beat Bolivia 5-2 to take the seventh place. Venezuela sent Chile to the bottom place after taking a 3-0 win.
