First Czech player in the English Futsal League! The Czech player
Jiri Lalak, who was playing in first division with
VSB Ostrava as team captain, will move to England in order to join
Ipswich Wolves. He will therefore become the first ever Czech player experiencing English futsal.
"We have an agreement for one year and the next week I'll take part in the FA Cup finals with the Wolves shirt" said Lalak. Though beeing one of the best players of Czech League, he was never selected for the A national team, but just represented Czech Republic in the World University Futsal Championships two years ago.
Ipswich Wolves are the current English champions, having conquered the FA Futsal Cup 2007, so that Lalak will also help the team in the next UEFA Futsal Cup (Ipswich will take part in the preliminary round group C in Bulgaria with hosts
Nadin Sofia and macedonian side
KMF Elita Tetovo). Playing a major international tournament is a big motivation for Lalak, as confirmed by the player himself.
