All details concerning the
5th European Universities Futsal Championship are finally known. During today’s general meeting EUSA (European University Sport Association) representative
Patrick Perosa from Slovenia, EUSA Technical Delegate
Tomasz Aftanski from Poland and AZS (University Sport Association of Poland) Representative
Piotr Marszal celebrated the official draw of the event.
Sixteen teams were divided into three pots and after that splitted into the final tournament groups.
Great matches are expected, especially considering the presence of some national team players among students’ teams. Krawczyk, Milewski and Stanislawski are the top three players from the home team University of Health Education from Lodz.
Also, among fifteen referees from the participating countries there are FIFA international referees. Pedro Parati (Portugal), Gennady Hora (Ukraine), Vasic Sreten (Serbia), Timo Onatsu (Finland) and Jacek Ligenza (Poland) make sure organizers that the level of refereeing will be more than satisfying.
The competition will last till Saturday’s finals, taking place in both venues in Wroclaw. Each day 8 games are scheduled.
