The Spanish (and European) failure

LNFS
Do you remember about the Spanish Eldorado (or El Dorado if you prefer...)? The LNFS (auto) described as "La mejor liga del mundo?" Forget it, it's something which belongs to the past. The worst news is just arrived: few days after the Division de Honor 08/09 fixture release, Mostoles 2008 has communicated that won't take part in the league due to financial reasons. No surprise, is just the consequence of a nonsense trend, in which clubs are just worried about the "first team" and federations just involved in their "A" selection, and who cares about youth futsal, clubs structure and similar concepts...

The end of the Mostoles 2008 press release is a brilliant example of the european mentality: "el Móstoles 2008 Fútbol Sala reafirma públicamente ante su masa social su compromiso con el fútbol sala y con la ciudad de Móstoles y mantendrá su estructura de club y se centrará en el trabajo con las categorías inferiores". Or better: now that the absolute failure is here, we can start on working on youth players. In few words: how to misunderstand the starting point of every sport (YOUTH PLAYERS FORMATION) with the final resource to be used when everything is lost. Mostoles 2008 is just an example of a trend which has reached dramatic levels in Italy and Spain, where the "Brazilianization" of clubs seems to be the only aim, and is affecting the rest of Europe in a fast time.

But why should we seriously think about futsal development with the World Cup to start in few weeks? Keep on enjoying the "best" of futsal!
