Gerardo Battistoni from Rosario, Argentina, has lived in the shadow until yesterday, but now is going to become a recognized "name" of international futsal. And not only due to his brilliant performances in the Italian league, with the first division side Lazio Colleferro, but also becouse is a clear example of the grotesque trend which futsal in experiencing these days. After beeing selected in the past weeks by the Argentinian national team coach Fabian Lopez in a preliminary list which will work as evaluation before choosing the final roster for the Brazilian World Cup, yesterday he could also read his name in the Italian National team preliminary list released by the local head coach Alessandro Nuccorini (though clubs and players are usually advised days before the official communications). So now, what is he going to do? Argentina or Italy? Let's see! God save futsal, if men can't do that!
