The favourites for The Men’s C’ship are the last years champions Taiwan Power Co.Team ,which is managed by the current National team Coach CHEN Guey-Rin.

He will will use his international experience to overcome the upcoming competition and also use this competition as a preparation
for of the future of national team.

Last years runner-up, Ming-Chuan University enters the championship with two teams and will be desperate to progress to the final in order to test themselves against the Taiwan Power Co.Team once again.

Army Team is a formidable squad of young and talented players, who are currently on their military duty. Interestingly they have often faltered at the latter stages.
Following the example of Ming-Chuan, various Universities have also embraced Futsal and this years competition will feature Chia-Yi University and Cheng Gong University .

Meanwhile Taipei-SCSC will be making their first appearance in The National C’ship since forming in 2000. The club have quickly progressed from being a youth development club to a leading Futsal force in Taiwan.

One key element this year is that the Taipei-City select team (a.k.a Bei-Tou/Wen-Hua) whose players were the backbone of the National Team in 2004 FIFA World Championship decided not to participate in the Championship second year in a row, due to an on going dispute with the current CTFA management.

In the Women’s competition, some of the teams are an unknown quantity but last year champions Thai-Chung Sports Academy and Ming-Chuan University Team will also set their sights for the title. However, newly formed Taipei-SCSC will be the team to beat as they feature some of the most experienced players in Taiwan and have been training together for 5 months for this event.

San-Chung Team had a good tournament last year with a very young squad but lost some better players to other teams this year, so new players could make all the difference for them.
