Futsal places a great emphasis on the basic techniques of football. There is no room for stray passes and taking errant shots because the opponents will get the ball very quickly. Players must learn to control the ball fast, dribble opponents, shield the ball, pass and move into space quickly. Though the game duration is shorter, the smaller pitch and plenty of movement causes the tempo of the game to be high.
