No surprise, this is Italian futsal. A new war on the horizon, with one sure loser: Italian futsal itself! As expected the three Luparense's player Nando Grana, Patrick and Jocimar did not "appear" in San Martino di Lupari today, where the Italian champion is starting to work looking for the UEFA Futsal cup challenge. All players are currently training with the national team, which is preparing the World Cup two months before the beginning, as ironically underlined by the Luparense press release. According to the Italian club communication, the Luparense players would have been "forced" to stay in Pomezia (where Italy is training) in order not to lose their place in the squad roster for Brazil 2008, while some spanish clubs players are still working with their respective teams of Division de Honor and will join Italy later. The "quarrel" between Italy and Luparense is quite old, this is definitely not the first episode. Doesn't matter who's going to claim the final victory, this is just another defeat for a sport that, in Italy, has been developed through a "weird" way.
