Chinese Taipei National Futsal Championship Final Report

WOMEN'S league
Taipei-SCSC were crowned Champions after beating Ming-Chuang in the final. This was their second game in the championship, as the faced each other in the group phase earlier, where also Taipei-SCSC won.
San-Chung looked much better team than last year and managed to win the third place ahead of a very young Ruey-Shiang team.

MEN'S league
In the Men's competition, Taiwan Power Co. B Team looked untouchable, featuring all the National Team coaches and players.
Last years runners-up Ming Chuan team were eliminated in the 1/4 final stages by newcomers Taipei-SCSC, which meant that Taipei-SCSC managed to sneak in to the last 4 in their first attempt.
Army team looked more experienced this year and improved their ranking by reaching the final, where they tasted their only defeat.
Although Taiwan Power Co.A team had a better overall record than Army team, they lost to Taiwan Power Co.B team in the semifinals, to settle for the third place.

Overall, the level of Futsal was much better than last year, as coaches and players looked to have better and better understanding of the game, thanks to their own individual efforts to learn more about Futsal.

On the otherhand the Refereeing will have to be improved and it looks like this can only be achieved by the help of an outside institution such as AFC or FIFA.

Next editions of the National Championship is set to take place in August 2009
