Iran loses to Spain again

TEHRAN, Aug. 20 (MNA)-- Iran national futsal team was beaten by Spain for a successive day in Tehran’s Handball Gym.
Iran had lost 2-1 to the world champion on Tuesday in the warm up game.

Vahid Shamsaee gave the hosts a lead but two goals from Spaniards were enough to win over the nine-time Asian champion.

Iran is in Group D along with Spain, Czech Republic, Uruguay and Libya in the 6th edition of the Futsal World Cup which takes place in Brazil from September 30th to October 18th.

Spain futsal defeats Iran again

Iran's national futsal team has been defeated by world champion Spain in the two sides' second friendly match Tehran's Handball Gym.

The Spanish squad, on Wednesday, thrashed Iran 2-1 in a friendly match which was the two sides' second in just two days.

Futsal's top international goal scorer of all time, Vahid Shamsaee, scored the opener for the Iranian side but the Spaniards managed to strike twice to repeat Tuesday's result.

Iran and Spain are preparing for the FIFA Futsal World Cup to be hosted by Brazil in October 2008.

The nine-time Asian champion Iran, coached by Hossein Shams, lifted the 10th Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Futsal Championship trophy held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2008.

World champion Spain on the other hand defeated Italy's futsal team 2-1 in the UEFA Futsal Championship final in 2007 in Portugal.
