Pacific Daily NewsMen's futsalThe Paintco Strykers all but clinched the top seed for the 2008 GFA Men's Futsal League playoffs after defeating the Cobras 6-4 yesterday at the Guam sports complex gym. Christian Dickson had a hat trick for the Strykers (6-1).
With a nine-goal advantage over Quality Distributors (5-1), the Strykers are the favorites to enter next week's semifinals on top.
Despite the loss, the Cobras (4-3) clinched the fourth and final playoff spot courtesy of having a better goal differential (+15) than Inter FC (+11).
In the other match last night, the third-seeded Crushers Orange (5-2) defeated the ASC Islanders 4-3. The Crushers' Camden Aguon and the 0-6 Islanders' Matt Cruz each led their clubs with hat tricks, but Kevin Cruz also scored to give Crushers the win.
