MILWAUKEE WAVE REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN 2002-03 MISL STANDINGS

The Milwaukee Wave continue to remain undefeated in the 2002-03 Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) standings with a 7-0 overall ledger after a 17:4 victory over the visiting Cleveland Force (3-3) on Nov. 3.

The Philadelphia Kixx have the second-best record in the MISL with a 6-2 mark after earning back-to-back victories on Nov. 2-3. After posting a 17:10 home-win against the Baltimore Blast (2-5) on Nov. 2, the Kixx got their sixth victory of the MISL campaign by edging the host Harrisburg Heat (3-3) 6:4 in overtime the next day.

In other matches on Nov. 2, the Kansas City Comets (1-5) dropped a heartbreaking 22:21 decision over the host San Diego Sockers (3-4), while the Heat topped the visiting Dallas Sidekicks (2-5) 18:14.

Next round of MISL regular season matches will feature the Kansas City Comets visiting the Dallas Sidekicks on Nov. 6. On Nov. 8, the Baltimore Blast greet the Philadelphia Kixx, while the Comets travel to meet the Milwaukee Wave. In a rivalry from the old World Indoor Soccer League, the San Diego Sockers visit the Sidekicks the next day (Nov. 9). Also on Nov. 9, the the Harrisburg Heat host the Blast and the Cleveland Force greet the Kixx. Rounding out the weekend matches on Nov. 10, will be a rematch as the Sidekicks square off against the Sockers in San Diego and then the Heat meets the Comets in Harrisburg.

Cleveland Force - Defender John Ball (6 caps) scored a goal in the 17:4 defeat at the hands of Milwaukee on Nov. 3 ... Harrisburg Heat - Netminder Doug Petras (9 caps) made 14 saves in the 18:14 victory over Dallas on Nov. 2. ...
