Predrag Bajic - Futsal Srbija BlogJust one club. This is the result of the merger between two of the most important futsal clubs from Belgrade:
Marbo and
Intermezzo. The new club president will be
Dragan Eric, with
Zvonko Milosavljevic as sports director and
Dejan Majes (Intermezzo coach) on the bench with the help of the experienced Serbian National team player
Bojan PavicevicClub president
Dragan Eric declared:
"We were thinking since many seasons about this merger, due to the good relations between both clubs. Marbo represented Serbian futsal in Europe while Intermezzo has focused more on developing youth futsal talents. The play-off semifinal defeat during the Serbian past season has determined the decisive impulse for the announced merger. We aim to grow up, making Belgrade and Serbian futsal stronger, defeating the current financial crisis of our sport in the country. Though we feel obliged, due to the "big name" we have in futsal, to reach great results in the pitch, the main goal of the club is to build a brand new generation of talents, who will compose the future of the Serbian Futsal National team: I can already mention Nenad Krstic and Dragan Zezelj as interesting names, both of them are born in 1990".
