Female futsal referees for Isfahan

ISFAHAN: Vision Iran’s Project Isfahan has moved on to the next stage of developing top-level futsal referees by reaching out to the province’s budding female officials.

A women’s futsal refeering course for grade 2 and 3 was held under the Project Isfahan banner to increase the number of women qualified to hold the whistle during futsal matches.

The course was conducted by Iran Football Federation instructor Dr Zahra Serjoui and was attended by 21 referees from all over Isfahan province.

Attending the opening ceremony was federation president Ali Akbar Abarghoei Nejad, who said female futsal referees have an important role to play in the sport.

Vision Iran's Project Isfahan comes under the umbrella of the AFC's Vision Asia programme aimed at enhancing the standard of football at all levels in Asia.
