Cuban News AgencyCuba, Arzignano Grifo Tied 6-6 in Futsal HAVANA, Cuba, Sept 16 (acn) Cuba’s national futsal team tied its preparation game against for the World Cup to run in Brazil with the Italian club Arzignano Grifo this Tuesday in Havana city.
The Italians are runner-ups in the European country A series, and were invited to play in Havana as part of the Cuban team preparation. Cuba was winning easily 4-0 after the first half but in the second the Italian squad changed their tactical plan and came back to lead 6-5 two minutes before the end of the game.
Then Cuban star Eduardo «Angola» Morales scored the tying goal and the game ended like that. Cuban scorers were Morales, twice, Yosniel Mesa, 2, and Carlos Madrigal and Istven Roman with one apiece. Meantime Andrea Bearzi and Junior Pinto (Futsalplanet note: Jonas) scored twice, while Thiago Santi and Marcio Brancher did it once.
Next game between both squads will be this Wednesday with a third and last game on Friday. Cuba will play in group A at the World Cup, jpined by Brazil, Russia, Japan and Salomon Islands.
