Indoor football at gym

THE FIRST OFFICIAL FUTSAL (indoor football) tournament – the Ginga Cup 'Big Tease' – will kick off tomorrow at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium.

It is being played under the aegis of the Barbados Football Association, in association with the newly-formed Barbados Futsal League, as they aim to promote and structure the game of futsal for Barbados.

The five-a-side 'Big Tease' tournament, which ends on Sunday, will be followed by the Ginga Cup League Championship next year.

The teams vying for the title as the inaugural Futsal kings of Barbados are D12, Memobriellia Gunners, Akademiks, Poser United, Boca Juniors FC, Sports Town United, Starcom Bling Dawgs, Absolut Santos, Valencia, Barbados Community College, Anita's Play Garden Ballers, Real Boca Juniors, Shottas, Joga and Omar.(EZS/PR)
