Jamie Schnieders Sold on Futsal

Jamie Schnieders, 15, is a Futsal veteran who knows what it takes to succeed in soccer and its indoor predecessor. She's on the talented Surf GU-16 White and is a three-year Futsal Nationals alum who believes nothing else compares to Futsal. Schnieders shares her thoughts on Futsal with XK San Diego Soccer News and explains why she credits the game with where her talent is today:

When did you participate and what did you think of the experience?

I have played Futsal now for four years. I went to the Futsal Nationals with Mario Mrakovic for three years. I love Futsal. Being exposed to Futsal four years ago has been the best part of my soccer training. Nothing compares to it.

Do you feel that Futsal improved your game? If so, why?

Futsal has been the key to my overall soccer success. I believe that the skills that Futsal gives me make me a better field soccer player, as well. I play with a very focused mind and it has helped me to react so much quicker. My foot skills have improved each year, which definitely translates to the soccer field.

I just love the speed of Futsal. It makes me smile and I love being out there challenging myself to get better. Nothing challenges me like Futsal. Without Futsal I don't think my game on the soccer field would be what it is today. It's the best! Every soccer player should spend time on the Futsal court if they want to experience the most intense form of soccer.
