Midfielder Marcelo accounted for two goals, and strikers Javi Rodriguez and Daniel had a goal each as the Spaniards improved to 2-1-0 in Group D. That mark gives Spain seven points, three more than the Iranians' total.
Spain fought to an uncharacteristic 3-3 draw with Iran on opening day before righting the ship against Libya 3-0.
The Spaniards next meet Uruguay in a bid to make the tournament's next round of action.
The indoor tournament has 20 participating nations grouped into four divisions. Only the top two teams advance to the next round.
In other matches Sunday, Argentina drew with Ukraine 2-2 to remain on top of Group C with seven points. Ukraine is in second place with four points.
Egypt clobbered winless China in the other group match. The Egyptians won their first game of the tournament and now has three points in Group C.
Saturday, Brazil kept its immaculate record going with a 7-0 thrashing of Russia in Brasilia.
The Brazilians, this year's host, have nine points and can reach the next round with a victory against Cuba Wednesday.
The Cubans are in second place in Group A with a 1-0-1 mark. Russia fell to a similar 1-0-1 card.
In Group B action, the United States was sent packing via a 5-3 defeat against Thailand.
The Americans remained winless in three outings following a 5-0 loss to Paraguay and a 6-1 drubbing at the hands of Italy.
The Italians lead that division with nine points while Paraguay, Thailand and Portugal all have three points.
