Montecarlo FC clinches Magis Futsal invitational

CEBU (PinoySoccer) - The 1st Magis Futsal invitational tournament held last Sunday October 5, 2008 at the Xavier sports and country club indoor court ended up with two Cagayan de Oro teams battling out for the trophy. Don Mariano FC gained their finals slot by edging out Bao-breakers A of Iligan thru penalties 1-0; while Montecarlo FC nipped host team Magis FC A 2-0 in the semis.

During the championship game, Montecarlo just proved to be too much of a force to be dealt with as they slipped three goals passed Don Mariano FC to claim the overall title. Nico Palarca, Johnderick Serahani and Silvestre Palarca all contributed a goal each.

Montecarlo FC has always been one of the more constant figures in Cagayan de Oro football ever since the 90's with their players more often than not being part of the "selection" team to represent the City.

With the success of this recent tournament, and all those that they have organized in the past, Magis FC has confirmed that the 3rd Magis Futsal tournament will definitely push thru this December of 08.
