Paul SafferThe schedule for the UEFA European Under-21 Futsal Tournament has been announced and the first finals will kick off with a match between the sport's dominant force, Spain, and a side making their debut in a UEFA national-team showpiece, Kazakhstan.
Opening daySt Petersburg's Yubileiny Palace of Sport will be the venue for the championship from 8 to 14 December, with Spain and Kazakhstan featuring high on the list of eight challengers. Their encounter is the first of four on the opening day, as their Group B fixture is followed by a match between Italy and Slovenia in Group A. Next up is the other Group B game involving Ukraine and the Netherlands, before hosts Russia conclude the day's entertainment against Croatia.
ScheduleMatches continue the next day and the groups conclude on 11 December with both games in the same pool being played simultaneously in the complex. The semi-finals will be staged a day later, with the first European U21 Futsal champions to be crowned on 14 December.
