Worcester News Futsal coaching to be launched in MalvernTuesday 28th October 2008FUTSAL coaching sessions are set to be delivered at Sport Dyson Perrins on a Monday evening from 5pm-6pm. Open to school years one, two and three, the first session kicks off on November 3 and will run for seven weeks.
Funded by Malvern Hills District Council through the Sport England initiative, fully-qualified coaches will be on hand to guide new starters through the rules and techniques of this new sport, which takes its style from Brazilian street football.
It is an opportunity for young football lovers to expand their skills, while being active and getting healthy within a club environment.
Mark Hammond, leisure services manager for Malvern Hills District Council, said: “It really is a fantastic sport and great fun to play.
“Supporting children and young people to be healthy and active is one of this council’s top four priorities for 2008 – 2011.”
The cost of the futsal programme is £7 for seven weeks.
