Today, November 5th, will start the Georgian Mikasa League 2008/2009. Five clubs are going to take part in the competition: Iberia 2003 (Tbilisi), Tao Privat Bank (Tbilisi), F.C Kutaisi (Kutaisi), F.C Mtsketa (Mtsketa) and Karishkala (Tbilisi).

Referees appointed for the league are: S. Kukhilava (FIFA Futsal Referee), A. Nonikashvili (FIFA Futsal Referee) and O. Khetsadze (GFF Futsal Referee).

Before the beginning of the league Karishkala and Tao Privat Bank tied 4-4 in a friendly match.
