Futsal Friendzy on Dec. 5

KOCHI: The action in the Kochi leg of the McDowell’s Celebration Futsal Friendzy, the first National-level five-a-side football tournament, kicks off with the qualifying rounds at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on December 5.

After the qualifiers, the main 32-team play-off will be held at the Rajiv Gandhi indoor stadium on December 7 with the Kochi winner progressing to the finals in Kolkata.

The tournament is open to all and each team will be allowed to field seven players, including two substitutes, and matches in the qualifying phase will be of 15 minutes duration (each half 7.5 minutes) with the field of play being 25m long and 13m wide.
