Marion StarIndoor futsal soccer league planned at OSUMNovember 25, 2008MARION — The Ohio State University at Marion athletic department will host an indoor futsal soccer league at the Alber Student Center on the Marion campus.
The league will feature 6-on-6 play (without the goalkeeper) and 4x6 goals. Games will be played in two 25-minute halves with a five-minute halftime.
It will begin action on Sunday, Dec. 7, with the first game starting at 1 p.m. The league’s 10-week season on Sundays will run through Feb. 8 and a postseason tournament will be held on Feb. 15.
Teams must register with league directors, and the first eight teams to register and pay their fees are members of the league. The entry fee is $400 per team, with a $200 deposit due on Dec. 7. The remaining part of the fee is due Dec. 14.
Team rosters may not be larger than 10 players. Teams must supply numbered uniforms, players must be age 18 or older as of Dec. 7, 2008, and players must wear non-marking court shoes. Spectator seating is available.
