Boro Announce New Sponsor

Hertel, provider of support services and specialised products to international businesses in sectors such as petrochemicals, power stations, power supplies, pharmaceuticals and shipbuilding, has become a main sponsor of Middlesbrough Futsal Club for 2009.

It is the second sponsor to join forces with Boro for the 2009 season, following in the footsteps of Italian kit supplier Errea and it shows that Middlesbrough Futsal Club has strong commercial prospects despite the developing nature of the sport itself.

Hertel, whose UK head office is based in Middlesbrough, have a tradition of supporting grassroots football through Middlesbrough Football Club’s community programme – MFC in the Community, and Damon Shaw is delighted to have Hertel on board.

“Hertel like to be seen supporting local football and I am happy that such a large, global company has seen the potential in our club and our sport. They operate in a lot of European countries where futsal is prominent such as Poland, the Netherlands and Ireland so I am sure they will see benefits beyond the local area from our partnership in 2009 and hopefully further into the future.”

Hertel will see their logo on the front of the new Middlesbrough home shirt as well as in Thornaby Pavilion for all Boro games played there in 2009.
