14th WORD POLICE FUTSAL TOURNAMENTNEWS FLASH DECEMBERDear friends,
Today it’s been a week after closing the WORLD POLICE FUTSAL TOURNAMENT and I start to recover.
But this year I recover from a great week without being sick from exhaustion.
I wish to start to thank you all for being a part of this great event.
On the closing party I saw only happy faces, having fun, dancing and celebrating their new friendships or results….
Or just because it was a good party ;-)
I also thank you for following the rules of fair play and let the stress off the field and if their was any… that you forgot right away after the game.
Also thanks for remembering my request to go to my Crew when you had a question or something you would like to know… you gave me the opportunity to enjoy the tournament myself….
Something that was a ‘fata morgana’ in the last editions ;-)
I hope all got home in a safe way. The weather was better then arrival day ;-)
Belgium is a surprising country, no?
In the last years we had sunny, rainy, freezing and snowy weeks….
This reminds me that nothing is normal. The Brazil team saw snow for the first time in their lives… ain’t that special!!!
Brazil assured us that they come back in 2009, for the snow, a revenge game with the Russians of the Finnish girls…???
Any reason is good for me ;-)
Bring back the Samba Soccer!
If I had a cup for the team which was the most motivated team, I had given it to the Finnish ladies team, who where 27 hours on the airport and after arriving Thursday afternoon, missing a playing day, and then had to play the 3 toughest teams in their group…. WOW
Again congratulations!
And also kisses to the 6 girls of Rebensgrun. Always present, even when life is not what it should be… respect.
Luxemburg and Romania promised us a women team, so that would be nice.
The French women teams where the most present team, always singing and smiling… and the men where always there to support them.
As it must be in these games, Thessalonica and Skopje forgot political friction, for this I organise these games ;-) thanks guys!
Spain brought us some teams, but all in the Silver Cup. Are the younger police men in Spain ‘lost for motivation’ ? No worry, the +35 did well ;-)
Also Italy seems to suffer under this problem.
But the only thing I heard about them was that they had nice hair cut and wear Dolce & Gabbana… women killers…
We saw the new flag of the new state Kosovo brought in by proud men. Beautiful no?
Israel told me at the start of the tournament: we come with 2 medium teams, but we shall do our best.
The ended both 19 & 20th places. In a total of 40 teams that is ‘exact’ the medium. How did they know?
Neerpelt, the Belgium team that reached the 4th place WPFT in 2007 had more resistance this year and went back to the spot of 2006, N°10
Blankenberge (B) came back and reached 15th position.
The reserve team which replaced the Johannesburg team reached 7th spot.
Reserve?
Scotland! Lots of kilts(not to confuse with’ kills’ on the champions night)and thank god, good results.
Romania surely was visible from the first day! WOW great ambiance in that team. Acvilla & Bucovina where the ony 2 teams who could make it this year, because the elections in Romania, but what a great spirit.
You’re always welcome friends!
Ireland, always present in the sportcafé and this year with 2 women teams!
Brotherhood, man!, did you see the polo’s the teams of Perth35 and Kaiserlautern where wearing? These guys know and meet each other for many years. Hard core!
I feel good to know that I have friends with the Justice Department in Austria hahaha, maybe if I manage a traffic fine in Austria….
Lithuania, colour full and very sympathic team. It was close qualifying in the Silver Cup! Next year revenge?
Poland! Red and white dynamite! If the Futsal didn’t get your attraction the present women did, no? no? hallo….
Greece was present for the first time and brought 4 teams with them.
In Greece Futsal is new and not much played, the teams did well.
England was the un-expected missed country.
How to explain the disappearance of the 5 men & women teams?
Temporary?
The Silver Cup was a tuff tournament this year!
24 teams from 20 countries.
The more experienced players feel them selves good in their own competition.
I’m sure those teams were all capable to play in the WPFT, so don’t under estimate that part of our tournament!
This year was special in the way that their was a serious shift in the top teams and that made it complete different then last years.
Still Russia and Ukraine stay on top!
They showed great Futsal with a ‘finesse’ ….
And the teams show more and more that they aren’t the closed people everybody says about them.
The referees?
Everybody has some good and bad news about them….hahaha
Doesn’t that seems to be familiar with your job?
Thanks to all of them for looking over our fair play rules, it wasn’t easy with all those hot headed police men ;-)
Also special thanks for the refs Yuhoshua (Israel), Mis(Poland) and Salvatore (Italy).
My crew?
Thanks a lot ladies and gentlemen of the Hospitality group, Logistic people and the Sport Secretary.
Thanks for helping everybody and be there with a lot of energy.
Without you it was impossible!
Lots of mails reach me with questions to send them all my email contacts so everybody can write others….
Sorry I can’t do that. The most important reason is the privacy of the ones who are in contact with me.
Everybody saw the lady photographer who was working for us.
She took 6000 pictures and of course that takes a lot of time to select the best for us.
Then we must select from them and put them on a website…
So as you already guess …. Such thing take a lot of time, so please be patient.
Do you’ve any nice pictures taken in the tournament?
Please send them to us.
We also like to see what is going on?
Any pictures with me in it? Can I have them?
Send them by email please?
Many thanks for the kind words and presents that you gave me!
It gave me the energy to go on with this killing job organising this event.
As I say: “let us see if everything goes well, we see for next year”…
I promise you, there will be a next year edition.
And it shall be special, because we celebrate the 15th edition and for that occasion we shall ….(‘censured’)….. you see ;-)
Remember to be on time to register for that edition on time.
This edition I had to refuse 37 teams!
I hated it, but it was impossible to receive every body.
End of January ’09 we shall be ready with the new brochure and prices.
Then we start registration and the teams of 2008 have first choice to register.
We also shall use a new system.
The firsts who register shall pay the start price.
All the ones who wait until 01.07 the pay more.
So again a reason to be quick with registration ;-)
But first, we’re going to enjoy the holidays..
X-mass and New Year!
We speak you in January 2009!
I wish you all nice holidays with your friends, family and partner.
Stay safe!
Marc JoosPresident of the Polician Organisation
ps. I hope I didn’t forget somebody to thank. If so, forgive me.
