Indoor Soccer Tournament

The Wilmington Family YMCA will be the site of a 5v5 Winter Futsal Tournament, aka indoor soccer. The event is scheduled for Dec. 29-30 in the YMCA gymnasium on Market Street.

Brackets are forming for boys, girls and co-ed teams; for age divisions covering U10, U12, U15 and U18. The minimum age to participate is 7, as of the start date of the tournament.

Rosters should include a minimum of seven and maximum of 12 players. US Futsal Guidelines will be followed, and all clubs are guaranteed at least three games.

Matches will begin at 8 a.m. Dec. 29, and the slate will run into the evening on both days.

The registration fee is $180 per team or $15 per player for a complete roster. Individual and team championship trophies will be presented in each age group.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the YMCA's Tournament Team Program.
