Brazil, South American champion Under 20

South American Futsal Championship Under 20
No surprises. Brazil is still there, on the top. No chances for a more than worthy Argentina in the tournament final. Brazil could also celebrate Dieguinho as tournament top scorer and Nilton as best goalkeeper (in terms of goals suffered). After a thrilling consolation match, Venezuela got the third place overcoming hosts Colombia after the penalty series, with the vinotinto's keeper Jony Rueda saving three penalties and conquering the revelation player award. Finally, the fair play prize went to Argentina. We also have to remind that Mexico and Costa Rica, though belonging to the CONCACAF confederation, were invited to take part, also considering the absence of Paraguay (lack of budget to take part, according to our informations) and Peru (suspended by FIFA).
